The Reno Air races are held at Reno Stead Field airport, which is 8 miles north of the city. Shuttle buses run from downtown Reno and Sparks as well as from the Peppermill and Grand Sierra resorts.

Reno National Championship Air Races & Air Show

The 45th annual Reno National Championships Air Races will be held September 10-14, 2008 at Stead Field. Race qualifier dates are September 8th and 9th. The event includes races by six classes of aircraft as well as an air show.

Reno Lodging - The races attract fans from all over the world and rooms fill up. However, a shuttle service (fee) makes it easy to get to the air field from any Reno / Sparks hotel (see shuttle stops at right).
